Which is a better placement for a sat dish on the Ground or on the camper.

I have heard that when people walk by or cars drive by the signal is interupted, and I was thinking on top of the camper it would loose the signal if someone got in or it moved around a bunch.

So whats better a tripod or a mount on the roof?

Well it really all depends on the location, sometimes I have found good spots to place it on the ground where nobody would walk past other times I put the portable dish on the bed of my truck.

The permanent roof mount models are really good and don't loose the signal while walking inside the RV.

Yeah it depends, if you mount on your camper in an appropriate way, it can work pretty well..
